Born c1814. Educated at Breslau University. Ordained in 1845. One of the Berlin revolutionaries in 1848. Sought asylum in Australia. Arrived at Sydney, New South Wales on 3 February 1850 per "Balmoral" from London, England. At Hahndorf, South Australia, in 1850. Assistant to Pastor Kavel. Arrived at Melbourne about March 1851 from South Australia, possibly overland. Ministered briefly to the Lutherans, holding services in the Independent Chapel, Collins Street, Melbourne. Thought to have returned to Germany.
