Ordained deacon in 1853 and priest in 1856. Curate of Moolap and Bellerine (1853-54). Curate of St. Paul's, Melbourne and chaplain, Melbourne Hospital (1857-58). Incumbent of St. John's, Creswick (1858-66). Minister of Christ Church, Daylesford (1867-68). Returned to England. Curate of Bermondsey, London (1872-73). At St. John's, Sheffield, Yorkshire (1873-76). At Sadberge, County Durham (1876-79). Vicar at Renwick, Cumberland in the 1881 census. Died on 12 September 1895 in the Penrith Registration District, Cumberland, England.
