Arrived at Melbourne on 31 March 1850 per "Aurora" with his wife Jane, nee Tinwell, having acted as religious instructor on the voyage out from London, England. Ordained deacon in 1853 and priest in 1856 by the Bishop of Melbourne. Curate of Moolap and Bellerine (1853-54). Curate of St. Paul's, Melbourne and chaplain, Melbourne Hospital (1857-58). Incumbent of St. John's, Creswick (1858-66). Minister of Christ Church, Daylesford (1867-68). Returned to England. Curate of Bermondsey, London (1872-73). At St. John's, Sheffield, Yorkshire (1873-76). At Sadberge, County Durham (1876-79). Vicar at Renwick, Cumberland from 1879. Died on 12 September 1895 at the Vicarage, Renwick, Cumberland, England.
