Born c1800 at 'Rockley Manor,' Tenerwle/Tan-y-rule, near Swansea, Glamorganshire, Wales, the son of the Rev. William Liddiard and his wife Jane Susannah Ann, nee Wilkinson. Sent at an early age to live with his grandfather, Sir Henry Wilkinson at 'Cordallis,' near Dublin, Ireland. Educated at Trinity College, Dublin (B.A.,1827; M.A.,1832). He married, c1824, at St. Peter's, Dublin, Ireland, to his cousin Susannah Ann (Hannah) Garraway, daughter of Henry Garraway, of Kilkenny, Ireland, and his wife Jane, nee Kennedy. Rector of Knockmark, County Meath, Ireland. Arrived at Melbourne with his wife and children on 17 November 1849 per "Nelson" from Plymouth, Devon, England. Posted to South Yarra and St. Kilda. Resided at 'Auburn Lodge,' Hawthorn. Went back to England at the end of 1852 per "Joshua." Returned to Melbourne in 1854 per "Marlborough." Imported an iron church. Appointed to Oakleigh. Died on 11 December 1864 at 'Farmley,' Prahran, Victoria, and was buried on 13 December 1864 at the Brighton General Cemetery, Vic.
