A James Wilson assisted Peter Virtue in conducting Baptist services in a tent in Melbourne c1839. He was an English Baptist who taught a small school in Bourke Street, Melbourne and was present at a meeting held c1841 to discuss the foundation of a Baptist Church in Melbourne. Nothing else known.
